Dragonware Computers Policies for Sales, Service, and Warranties
 

Thank you for your purchase at Dragonware Computers! We hope that you enjoy your purchase for many years to come. While we trust that you will have no problems with your purchase, our purchase agreement is listed below.
Returns:
All returns must be made within 7 days of purchase, no exceptions.
1. All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
2. All returns are subject to testing performed by our staff. If a part is deemed defective, an identical replacement part will be provided. (If the product is no longer in stock, we will order a replacement. If customer is unwilling to wait, we will replace it with a component of equal or lesser value.)
3. The original sales receipt is required for all returns.
4. Item must be in the same condition as it was when purchased, and in original package.
5. No returns on Software. No exceptions.
6. Refunds will be given the same way payment was made* (IE. Credit/debit card, cash).
*Refund Amounts greater than $50.00 will be made by check, with the exception of credit card transactions, and will be mailed within 7 business days.
Warranties:
1. All new systems come with a one (1) year warranty.
2. All used systems come with a thirty (30) day warranty unless otherwise marked. Notebook batteries do not come with a warranty.
3. As-Is products are sold on an As-Is basis (no warranty and no returns).
4. New parts come with a one (1) year warranty through Dragonware (excludes OEM products, which have a 90 day warranty, lights, and new monitors. New monitor warranties are handled directly through the manufacturer. Power supplies have a 6 month warranty under the terms of item 6 listed below)
5. Warranty work must be performed by a Dragonware Computers staff member. Dragonware is not responsible for charges by other companies.
6. Warranty does not cover: physical damage (ie lightning), misuse, overclocking, smoke damage, software problems, or virus issues. Warranty covers hardware failures.
Note: Data loss is possible with computers. Dragonware is not responsible for data loss, nor any financial loss associated with lost data or time. (The most common causes of data loss are hard drive failure and viruses, although there are some other causes.) Dragonware technicians will do everything they can to back up data in the event of a problem when the system is in for service, but we cannot guarantee that the backup will be successful.

Layaway: 30Day Limit- deposits will not be refunded if cancelled. Christmas Layaways must be picked up by December 30th or layaway will be cancelled and no refunds will be issued.
Special Orders: Special orders are not refundable. Special orders require a deposit. Cancelled orders will not be eligible for a refund of the deposit.

Service:
1)Labor has a limited guarantee. This is provided on a case by case basis, please ask your technician for specific warranties. Virus removal is not guaranteed.
2)Labor completion time is dependant upon how many computers are checked-in, what your computer's problem is, availability of parts (if needed), and contact with you if we determine the problem is something other than what was described at check-in. It is therefore very important to make sure we have a good way to contact you, as we will stop working on your computer until you return our call(s) in the event that a question arises.
3)Expedited service is available (for an additional $50) if you need your computer back as soon as possible. We will try to get your computer finished on the same day, but we do not guarantee that we will due to the above factors.
4)Service calls are available within the state of North Carolina and parts of Virginia. Service calls are charged hourly and travel time to and from your location is included in the hourly charge.
5)Remote assistance is also available for those who have a working internet connection. Please see our support page for details.
6)Mail in service: Please contact the service department so that they can generate a service work order. Secure your equipment for shipment (we recommend bubble wrap), include you work order, and mail to Dragonware Computers, 1539 Hanes Mall Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. We recommend FedEx, but whichever carrier you use be sure to insure and track your package as Dragonware will not be held responsible for lost or damaged shipments.
